Is i94.io affiliated with CBP or the U.S. government?+
No. We're an independent service. The official I-94 portal is i94.cbp.dhs.gov. We make accessing and tracking that data easier — we don't replace it.
How does a lookup request work?+
You provide the traveler's name, passport number, country of issuance, and date of birth, and confirm you are authorized to submit them. We process the request and archive the official CBP PDF in your dashboard, then email you. During early access we handle requests as quickly as we can and do not guarantee a turnaround time.
Is my data safe?+
Biographic data is encrypted at rest. We never share or sell anything. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time with one click.
What if my admit-until date is 'D/S' (duration of status)?+
We handle D/S records specifically — you'll still get alerts on new entries and visa-relevant changes, even when there's no fixed expiry.
Can I track my whole family?+
Yes. Add as many family members as you need during early access.
Do I pay anything?+
No. i94.io is free during early access. If pricing plans launch later, we'll share them well in advance.
Does i94.io use my location to retrieve my I-94?+
No. Location can only help remind you that a post-entry check may be useful. The check runs in your browser and coordinates are never sent to us or stored. Nothing starts until you submit a lookup request and confirm authorization.
When should I check my I-94 after entering the U.S.?+
A good habit is within 24–48 hours of arrival. Each admission creates a new I-94 record, and its class of admission and admit-until date can differ from your visa or I-797 dates.
